Twitter, What’s Hot?

Twitter

It seems that Twitter indeed will always be a headline not only in the northern side of the globe but also on the southern side. But this time, it seems that this popular microblogging services is getting too famous for the taste of China government. Yes, it was June 2, 2009, Tuesday when Twitter was blocked from customer access across mainland China.

The Twitter network seeks consolation from the fact that they were not the only one who was blocked. Hotmail, Bing.com and Flickr were among those that were denied to the residents of China.

Reasons for the black out was not really clear, though media pointed out the protest movement evaluation which was published in the internet was the reason.

Another controversial issue is: Is twitter becoming the haven of spammers?

According to the article I found on Yahoo tech, the administrators of twitter are answering the issue on spamming. Yet, on the other side of the coin, if one follow a certain account and allows it to send messages (viewed as spam), can we consider these unwanted messages if we subscribed to it?
