Inculcating the dos and don’ts of twitter
Do you have a twitter account? If you have, what did you usually update in your profile? Twitter has been considered as one of the free micro-blogging service that let any twitter users to disseminate and at the same time read some of the twitter user’s updates. Since the existence of twitter in the world of the internet, it became one of the famous micro-blogging services. However, I have noticed that some of the twitter users are taking advantage of its friendly usage. And I admit, I can consider myself as one of them. If you were one of them, you should have to take into account these dos and don’ts of twitter that I had read, before someone will call you a spammer.
The don’ts
- Don’t keep on talking about your recent company.
- Don’t use bad words when updating your status, readers may find it rude.
- Don’t try to put everything about you which sounds unnecessary.
- Don’t just post a link about your website; this would really sound like spamming.
- If you were just a new twitter user, don’t get rush in following various people when many of them are not following you. Again, this would only show that you were spamming.
- And lastly, don’t ignore those followers who were following you and don’t just ignore their direct messages. If possible respond to them, this would be one of the best ways to build their trust on you.
The dos
- If you already sign up for your twitter account make sure you have a genuine avatar. This would let the other twitter users to easily determine you.
- If you were working in a prestigious company and somebody mentioned your company in their twitter updates follow them and send them a direct message as your compliments.
- If you have a blog, news and among others put it to your twitter update but minimize its usage.
- Put a least one twitter status update a day; don’t post a link in every minute of the day. This could be considered as spamming.
- Think twice before posting your tweets, not clear tweets would end up into a mess.
- And lastly, just enjoy tweeting by following of course its dos and don’ts.
