Plaxo befriends Facebook

Plaxo and Facebook was excited in announcing that they are in a ‘open relationship.’ this decision is based on the observation that most users of both these social networks are engaging in a ‘befriend madness.’

Befriend madness is the act of befriending your connections from facebook to plaxo or vice versa one by one. So, if you 1,000 friends in facebook and would like to connect with them, then you got to befriend your 1,000 connections individually. No doubt the action is referred to as befriend madness.

The interoperability between these two social networks though has limits on the freedom of what a user would like to share. Plaxo focuses not on the newest user but to those who are already using Facebook.

Two-way content sharing between Plaxo and Facebook is now possible. So when you upload photos, pictures, events and links (either in Plaxo or Facebook) it can also be viewed in these two networks.

For some users the interconnection was great. But there are those that do not agree on this latest progress on social web.
