It had been known that social media serve as the core source of excellent opportunities for business purposes such as advertising their products, special events and services. As well, social media site are use for acknowledging and featuring some employees in the company. Although, there are several social media sites that have existed nowadays but there are only six social media sites that been considered as general social media sites. These general social media site are the following:

As a result, it attracts several visitors around the globe which had been noted as about 684 millions of visitors.

2.) Newsvine-is defined a community powered news social media website that have drawn news original update from its users and syndicated content from mainstream sources. As well, the users were allowed to write articles, discuss new items, and be able to send links to external content submitted by the users and the professional writers or journalist. The newsvine is not a company but acts a social news venue that help the community to participate and be updated recent issues or news that been happening. The newsvine staff continually works out in order to keep this social network operating.

3.) 43 things-is social media networking site that been designed for tagging rather for explicit interpersonal links. It had been noted that users of this accounts list numbers of goals and then parsed by a lexer and connected to other goals that are content similar goals or ideas. This concept was been known as folksonomy.

4.) Wetpaint-is free wiki hosting services. It had been noted that all wiki URLs are only sub-domain of wetpaint.com. In which, this site target the general internet users who really wants to collaborate virtually with the use of easy virtual interactive features.

5.) Frappr-is been defined as Web 2.0 mashup application which maps the online communities for touring purposes.

6.) Yahoo answers-had been considered a community driven knowledge market website. In which, the community members are allowed to participate by formulating some question in order to be answered by the other members or vice versa.
