Most of the countries have been bombarded with the shrinking economy, many people lost their jobs. Thanks to the internet and its innovation, those people who once lost their job find social networking sites to post their resumes. Most of these people claimed that they had given another chance to live, through the help of social networking sites such like plaxo.com and linkedin.com, they had now a job. They got most of their jobs in these sites, and in fact they find it easy, interesting and convenient.

Another user claimed that social networking site like Facebook give her the chance to connect with the people she is trying to help. The social networking site gave her updates about the situation of the people she wanted to help and it gives her also some tips how to help them in their needs. Others who have an organization find social networking sites a very helpful tool to ask for solicitations not only to their own country but all over the world. Through this, they had helped millions of people from the less fortunate countries, especially those who were victims of poverty and natural disasters.

While for others they find social networking sites a helpful tool to help them relax and stimulate their mind due to the interesting applications it had. Whatever they had said, social networking sites nowadays seems the easiest way to find whatever you need.

We are a bunch of internet addict who has littered the internet with so much ideas and information, so there is a friendly competition on who among us has the most number of social networks which the search engine has acknowledge. We had joined every social network searched on the internet web.

We were talking on what social networks with our account will be on the top 10 or top 20. As usual, I am the quietest among the pack, yes I am quite ‘slow’ with pimping my profiles. I had registered with Myspace for almost a year now and my profile in myspace did not even turn up among the top 20 search.

It is only but human to make ways and indeed I made mine. I registered in naymz.com. The funny, since I am no web savvy; the first time I typed naymz.com in the address bar, I was confused to be confronted by a blank web page with these details: Nayzm logo; a small box with the words Remember me beside it; the words ‘Forgot your password?’; two boxes for the email and password; the word ‘People’ with a downward arrow; and a search box.

So, I tried searching for a colleagues name and still found a blank web page. I just let the days passed and visited the naymz.com page daily and it didn’t take long before it hit me that there is the presence of a scroll bar. LOL, yeah and I found the JOIN FOR FREE box.

In less than 24 hours, my profile turned up and it is on top 3 when I googled my name. It has been two weeks since I registered and I happen not to logged in on naymz.com and still my naymz.com profile still turned up when I google searched my name. Naymz.com in my opinion is the answer to your personal branding needs. If you wanted to turn up on google search then this social network is the answer. They call this feature COMPREHENSIVE SEARCH ENGINE PLACEMENT.

Naymz.com another feature is the DETAILED VISITOR TRACKING; I call this feature as STALK YOUR STALKER feature. This naymz.com feature will allow you to see the details of your profile visitor. Details like date, city, state, country, IP address, visitor name if available, and the very page that referred the visitor of which you will be informed through an email sent to you. So, if you feel that somebody is following you in the cyber world, also stalk your stalker without his knowledge. Lure him to follow you and get the very details that he does not want you to know. Good luck then.

With the fast pace innovation of technologies, patients are given the chance to live life normally. Social networking is one of their outlets to find solutions or treatments about their disease.

By the way, have you already heard about the ALS disease or the Lou Gehrig’s disease? Accordingly, it is a disease which doesn’t have a chance of recovery or incurable. In the news I’ve read, one patient of this incurable disease was thinking that she doesn’t have the chance to live. Since all parts of her body except her brain didn’t function, her only companion on her life aside from her love-ones is the social networking. Thanks to the fast pace technology innovation, patients like her or with ALS have already reasons why they should continue to live.

The said patient actually doesn’t do networking for making friends, but indeed looking for a website that could help her find treatments for her disease. Literally, though doctors know well about the disease however, most patients who carry this kind of disease are still looking for a place to share their illness experience and somehow could find the best solution of their problems. Yes doctors indeed can answer these patients’ medical questions however; they could not help them cure the impact on their individual life.

The role of social networking on the incurable ALS disease is to record all kind of diseases and its information in the particular site. The reason why they gathered all the information because they wanted to update the way patients acquire their information. With the help of social networking many patients from all over the world not only those who have the ALS disease, but those who also have an incurable disease can already share their ideas and experiences towards another patients allowing themselves to help each other and see the worth of life.

It helps the users to gain new buddies, maintain current relationships through messages or images. By simply logging in with your Gmail account you can have full access with Orkut’s social network. This service was developed through the effort of a Google employee named Orkut Büyükkökten.

Like any other social networking sites, Orkut comes out with different features:

Scrapbook – users can put photos, audio/podcast, widgets or Youtube videos to share with their friends by just simply copying and pasting the url or its embedded code.

Communities – anyone can create their own community at Orkut: post new topics, testimonials or events, create polls and even playing games.

Applications – Orkut’s applications just began last April 16, 2008. Their app includes Chat Rooms, PhotoBuzz!, Chakpak Movies, IQ Test and a lot more. Users can also send their own suggested application.

Profile – there are three divisions under profile page: social, professional and personal

Other features are starting up or adding a group, adding friends, becoming a fan of a fellow friend or even evaluate a friend like “cool”, “trustworthy” or “sexy”.

These are just of the coolest facets Orkut has to offer to its users. Orkut is originally hosted in California but their mass numbers of users are coming from Brazil and then followed by India. The social networking site is now under the management of Google Brazil for the reason that greater percentages of users are Brazilian.

But if this social networking site will be promoted well to the public, it will attract users worldwide because they have the X factor to compete with other social networking sites.
