The Most Important 3 F’s in Social Media
The 3 F’s stand for FOLLOWERS, FRIENDS and FAMILY; and that is according to Rob Angeles of the social media Philippines. I never appreciated these terms when I first joined a social network for SEO purposes.
Yet, as I get honed by time and experience the classification indeed became clear and true to me. But let me give my opinion on these terms.
Followers are also important. I agree with Rob. Along the way they usually became friends. But the followers becoming into friends has to undergo into process much more similar (if not totally similar to real friends) process. At first a commensalisms kind of relationship exists. It means one of you do not benefit from the relationship while the other is just unaffected by the relationship.
Gradually, as you learn to ask help from each other, you slowly value each other presence in the web and became friends. The relationship then climbs one notch higher into a mutual symbiotic relationship wherein both benefits from the interaction.
A continuing symbiotic relationship may and may not revolve into a family relationship. It all depends on the involve parties. But a family relationship is composed of a very tight cyber relationship within individuals that took even years to build.
Now, can you classify your relationship with other cyber users? Can you point who are followers, friends and family? Or should I ask do you know how build relationships in cyberspace?
