Internet carries wide array of data information resources and services such as electronic mail and the interlinked of hypertext documents of the World Wide Web, the other Internet services are file transfer, file sharing, online chat, online gaming and person-to-person communication via voice and video thru Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system.

In 1960s Internet research project was funded by United Stated for their military agencies to build robust computer networks system.

In 2009, an estimated of 25 percent of the world population uses the Internet services.
