Facebook has just unleashed the next big thing in social media, it’s the Facebook Connect. This new Facebook platform enables you to connect your Facebook accounts to other third party websites. This will definitely change our life in interacting with friends and to do business.

  • Trusted Authentication-You can connect your Facebook account to any Facebook partner websites by using trusted authentication.

  • Real Identity-Through Facebook Connect you can bring up your identify wherever you are in the web. It simply integrates your Facebook identities to other sites.

  • Friend Linking-Letting you connected with your friends on Facebook wherever you are on the web and also on your site.

  • Dynamic Privacy-Facebook Connect lets you get your account update. Every time you change your profile or your picture, Facebook Connect will automatically update you on your site just as the same as you’re on the Facebook social network.

  • Social Distribution-This is where sharing comes in. Facebook Connect lets you share information with your friends easily using Facebook Feed, request and notifications.

Facebook Connect was just launched last Thursday, December 6, 2008. An hour after Facebook’s rival Google launched their Google Friend Connect. Facebook has already teamed-up with some of the largest social network sites such as Loopt, Digg and Stumble Upon. That could get Facebook a large head start of the competition against Google.
