Adobe announces to buy Omniture despite profit slides in 3Q

I’ve heard a few days ago that Adobe Systems, Inc was planning to buy Omniture, known as the web analytic software firm, for at least $1.8 Billion. Well, it might be a good move for the company to expand its services to computer enthusiasts by way of adding another service.

I don’t know if the price is really reasonable for Omniture, but the way I see it, it’s just enough since it seems both the company’s executives have already agreed of the price. Adobe – that is based in San Jose California, is reportedly buying Omniture at $21.50 per share and this will be in cash, according to Google reports.

The news that Adobe is going to buy Omniture was released to the media Tuesday as the company announced its earnings of $136 million in August of this year.
