Social Network is Top Holiday Trend

A research done by the American Marketing Association said that cause-related marketing and social networking are the holiday trends now days. Sharing and seeking for gift ideas and chatting are the purposes of consumers when they visit social networking sites. When consumers are ready to buy they seek products which are cause-related; it means a portion or a percentage of the product price will be donated to a certain cause.

The result of the surveys states that American consumers would flock in social networking sites this Holiday season. Forty seven percent of the total number of respondents said that searching for gift ideas and buying them on line if possible are their main reasons for going to these social networking sites. Another reason for visiting social networking sites is to look for sales in stores or sales on certain products or company. Yet thirty one percent said that they would buy products if they are given a chance.

On-line marketing or on-line retailers are now given a niche and importance in the social networking world. And the challenge to marketers is on how they would cater to these on-line consumers that would make them feel important and significant in the buying process.
Cause-related products are also gaining popularity in the American population. In every three women, one said hat she would likely to buy products that is cause-related. Social Networking in today’s concept goes beyond collecting friends, changing profile background, posting messages on a wall or sending bulletins- now it also means MARKETING. Thus, companies now try hard enough to penetrate the world of social network to be able to sell products on a worldwide scale.

About the Author

Beverly

Reading is my passion. To create pictures from words is my dream. To be able to write and convey message, influence and move people is one of my fantasies. Avery effective writer at that. I also want to be an educator... not only in the four corners of a classroom but also beyond those enclosures. I want to be an educator... of life, love, languages and travel. I have already started the process of becoming one. I am studying to get a certificate for teaching to get a licensed and become a licensed educator. Let it be through internet or through a university. It will take me a year to complete my Professional Education. I have always been fascinated with languages and now is the right time to reach it. I aim to communicate at least 1 European language let it be Spanish, Italian or French. To be able to widen my horizons and reach out and understand articles and blogs beyond the English language. Besides reading and writing… travel… is another glory. Someday I will be able to blog about cities that captures the heart of many. I am also a fanatic of Greek Mythology and Inspirational Stories and Poem. One poem written by an 85 year old woman dying of cancer “If I have My Life to Live All Over Again” and a short story “The Story of Rose” are just two of my favorites.
