Social bookmarking is a system in the social network of the World Wide Web that the internet user can organize, store, and manage a bookmark web pages in the internet with help of metadata. In social bookmaking, users build a link to web pages and share what the user has bookmark to other members or users, friends and network groups. Bookmarks are usually publicly viewed by groups and also can be restricted to the public or saved in private.

These kinds of services are fully developed and have grown popular to the public. The people may enjoy the features of social bookmarking such as web annotation, importing and exporting bookmarks from browser and other social media websites and comments on the bookmarks.

Book Marks are used in a book to annotate the page for certain reasons. The World Wide Web with its so many information and website can do with bookmarking system to annotate and “directly” locate webpage that we want to remember or go back to.
