Facebook is one of the most important social networking sites reaching a total of 100 million users and it is still growing. Even through its success, Dustin Moskovitz is leaving the social networking site that he founded with Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 when they were students at Harvard University.
Moskovitz decided to leave to pursue his dream, to create a technology business on the internet. The cofounder of Facebook had already planned to leave the company a month ago but he didn’t want to damage Facebook so he decided to stay put. “Dustin always thought the best of Facebook and will always be someone I talk to”, assured Mark Zuckerberg.
The damage of the relationship between Moskovitz and Zuckerberg has produced a friendly bond after a mutual agreement.
Moskovitz now has his own profile on Facebook and has expressed his sadness but has explained some details about his new project. “The new project is not a substitute for what we have constructed here, but the intention is that it will be a natural extension of Facebook” assures the cofounder of Facebook.
The story of Facebook will be turned into a film called Made in Hollywood (See Facebook to Hit the Big Screens) It is set in the classrooms of Harvard four years ago when a group of teenagers decide to make a virtual yearbook for their classmates. The problem is that it doesn’t just stop in the classrooms it turns into social phenomenon.
