A MySpace profile is the user’s profile which uses various media and applications to enhance its look and feel, making it more unique and personalized. The following are some of the contents of a MySpace profile:

· Moods- the moods in a user’s MySpace profile are small emoticons which are used to show what kind of mood the user is feeling at the moment.

· Blurbs- there are two sections which feature the MySpace user’s blurbs, the About Me and the Who I’d Like to Meet sections. Other blurbs include the Interests and Details sections, which also displays the Status and Zodiac Sign fields.

· Comments- the Comments section is where the user’s friends can leave comments which other viewers can see. Users have the option to delete any comments or they can require comments to be approved before posting.

· Music- MySpace Music has profiles for musicians which are different from profiles of ordinary users. Artists are allowed to upload their own songs in the MP3 format but they must have rights to use and share the songs they have uploaded.

· Profile Customization or HTML- this allows users to fully customize their profiles by adding flash videos, music and their own profile designs and templates.

MySpace Features

· Groups- this feature allows users to create and interact with groups with people who share the same interests. Anybody can create ca group and the group moderator can choose the settings on who can join and view the group.

· Bulletins- this MySpace feature allows the user to post something on his or her bulletin board for everyone on his or her friends list to see. It is a very useful feature to make announcements and invitations to everyone.

· Applications- this feature allows users to create applications which other users can use to post on their profiles.

· MySpaceIM- this feature is an instant messenger which uses the user’s MySpace account as a screen name.

· MySpace Mobile- this feature allows the user to access MySpace on his or her mobile phone.

· MySpace News- this allows users to vote for news stories

· MySpace Classifieds- this service allows users to view and search through classified ads

· MySpace Karaoke- this feature allows MySpace users to upload audio recordings of them singing n their profile pages.

· MySpace Polls- this feature allows its users to post polls on their personal profiles and share them with other MySpace users.
