MySpace and Nokia Open Music Shops

Companies are ever more intent on competing with Apple’s ITunes. This time Nokia, the phone manufacturer and MySpace have an online community of 100 million users. Each with its own system.
Nokia sells songs for 1,5 euros and streams their songs (listening without downloading) for 10 euros a month with no limits.
MySpace streams their music for free as the Spanish radio station Yes.fm (amongst others) and they hope to recover the cost they pay to the record companies by selling tickets, ringtones and t-shirts. MySpace is taking advantage of suggestions from users within the online community.
