Here are some of the traits of most powerful people in social media. They hold different expertise like the superheroes we admire.

Powerful influence to your social media network is very vital. Develop a unique social identity and be consistent in providing valuable information to your networks such as articles, tweets, links or tools.
Chris Brogan and Michel Fortin can be defined as the Superman of social media. They both have influential and powerful identities with their social communities to the extent that they consistently provide power value.

There are many tools and gadgets which require your knowledge to boost your network. You can be a leader who is not scared to tackle responsibilities. You are also a creative thinker which always invent or find ways for the improvement of your social media community.
Like Batman Jack Humphrey and Doug Firebaugh, they use their intellectual skills in their social communities. They both have the wisdom of the finest tools and gadgets in social media. A Blog Talk Monitor of Jack is a good example.

Social awareness and stickiness to your message and brand is crucial. The more creative you craft with your messages, the higher the chances that it will easily stick to the minds of your targeted networks.
Now, think of how Spiderman used his four spider power (Strength, Speed, Grip and Sense) and apply it to yourself just like these three influential people did: Carrie Wilkerson, the Barefoot Executive; Yanik Silver famous for Maverick Business Adventures; and Mari Smith the Social Marketing Business Couch.

Perform Exceptionally in any social media communities such as events/meetings, interviews or conference calls. Through these different participation, you can build a powerful social network in a short span.
Carrie Wilkerson is one the finest examples of Storm character in social media. Like Storm extremely powerful human mutants, Carrie also possesses influential contributions to social media. She was recently awarded as the “Top Underground Marketer of the Year” at Yanik Silver’s Underground 5 event.

Expand the mind power of others. In social media do not control other people’s mind instead influence them.
Just like Professor-X wherein he can easily influence the mind of human beings, Seth Godin and Darren Rowse are best examples. They constantly have something NEW which leads to the readers to think of different views.

We can be one of the next social media superheros by applying these simple yet effective ways for us to become an influential social media marketer.

This early February of 2009, Compete.com surveys the TOP 25 Social Networks and its draws down common grounds between Twitter and Facebook.

Facebook turns 5 year old now, this Social Network sites is a “Almost Complete” network that the user can imagine. Sharing, Upoading, Networking, Marketing guru stuff and my favorite feature is you can create a page of which you can invite others to become a fan. Facebook users are intelligent and advance in Social Network features, WHY? Because the site is as friendly as your best friend (lol)

The interesting and the hottest property NOW in social network is Twitter, who can expect that this site climbs faster, in fact it was on the TOP 20 last Feb 2008 in TOP 25 Social Network of 2008. The Simple the Better, this is the shortest description I can say about this site.

You can see the list above that Facebook ranked #1 followed by MySpace and the hottest ranked #3 is Twitter. Who knows, Twitter will lead the this list by next year (that if Twitter will increase the number of text on the message box, 140 character is not enough to reach out online society)
